Top 10 Best Blooming Perennials (according to Holly)


  • Baptisia (AKA False Indigo):

    • Spring blooming

    • Flowers are large and cover the top of the plant with brilliant colors

    • Large range of colors- includes almost all major flower colors or a combo

  • Agastache:

    • Hardiness zone 4-9

    • Early summer blooming

    • Flowers are tall and long lasting

    • Mostly found in purple color

  • Catmint:

    • Hardiness zone 3-8

    • Late spring, early summer blooming

      • Trim it right away and it can bloom a second time

    • These flowers are numerous, covering the top of the plant and they are long lasting

    • Mostly found in purple color

  • Hibiscus:

    • Hardiness zone 4-9

    • Summer into fall blooming

    • They plant's stature and bloom size is staggering

    • Large range of colors- includes almost all major flower colors but most commonly found in pink or red

  • Allium:
