Thank you SO much for your continued support of me and Houseplant Homebody! I am thrilled that I am able to now provide exclusive blog posts along with podcast episodes! Especially for this episode, I wanted to share pictures of the beautiful plants we saw in Hawaii.
No only did I want to share the plants, I also wanted to share the experiences and links to everything just in case you are ever in Kauai and want to know what to do!

Peter and I planned out larger activities ahead of time and decided to relax in between the larger activities and days where nothing was planned. We stayed in Kapa'a for half of the honeymoon and Lihue for the other half. We liked Kapa'a more because of the beach access, paved walking path along the beach and the walking access to shops and food. By renting a car or using Uber, you can easily access any point of the island though!
Here is what we decided to do on the honeymoon:
McBryde Garden and Allerton Garden "Best of Both Worlds" Guided Tour: Koloa, Hawaii
Sleeping Giant Hiking: Kapa'a, Hawaii
Makai Golf Club- Disc Golfing: Princeville, Hawaii
Waimea Canyon Downhill Bike Ride: met in Hanapepe, Hawaii
Na Pali Sunset & Sightsee Boat Tour: At Holo Holo Charters in Eleele, Hawaii
Kauai's Ultimate Guided Shore Snorkeling Adventure: Koloa, Hawaii
Smith Family Garden Luau: Kapa'a, Hawaii
Kauai Backcountry Adventure, Mountain Tubing: Lihue, Hawaii
Kauai Coffee: Kalaheo, Hawaii
The houseplants we normally see were used as ground cover, shrubs and trees in Hawaii which is exactly what I expected. But they were EVERYWHERE with highly impressive large foliage, beautiful colors and amazing flowers! Here is a gallery of plant images to see!
